What You Need to Complete the Job

Cut the pipe square, deburr the end, and dry-fit the joint before solvent welding. Join sections with a slip coupling where the pipe needs to be extended or repaired, and cement all joints with Bostik Pipe Cement Type N. Can I cut it to length?

Yes. Cut it with a pipe cutter or fine-tooth saw, then deburr the cut end before jointing. Cutting to length is normal when a run needs an exact measurement, and the cut end solvent welds the same as a factory end.

It connects to the 90mm Storm PVC fittings range, including elbows, junctions, couplings, snap tees, caps and adaptors. All joints are solvent welded with PVC solvent cement.

Is this pipe suitable for buried drainage?

Yes. The pipe is made for stormwater drainage and is suitable for above and below ground use. Bed it evenly in the trench and support the pipe at the joints so the solvent welded connections are not carrying the backfill load.

What fall does a stormwater pipe run need?

A 90mm stormwater pipe is normally laid to a minimum fall of about 1 in 60, which is roughly 16mm per metre, so water keeps moving and solids do not settle in the line. On longer runs keep the fall consistent and avoid flat sections where water can pool.
