More Information

Laserlite 3000 Polycarbonate Roofing Sheet

The Laserlite 3000 Polycarbonate Roofing Sheet is a heat-reflecting polycarbonate roof sheet built for Australian patios, verandas, pergolas and carports. It reflects more heat and reduces glare than a standard clear sheet, which keeps outdoor areas cooler all year round, and it is backed to Australian Standard AS 4256.5. It is available in corrugated and Greca profiles, in standard lengths from 1.8m to 7.2m.

Laserlite 3000 is a tinted, heat-reflecting sheet rather than a fully clear one. It blocks 99.9% of harmful UV rays, offers strong impact resistance, and its tinted surface reduces heat by up to 50% compared to an untreated sheet. That makes it a strong choice for west-facing verandas, pool areas and any outdoor room that cops the afternoon sun. Because it is a single-skin polycarbonate sheet, it is light to handle and quick to install, which keeps labour and framing costs down on a large roof area. It is a dependable, low-maintenance option for anyone who wants daylight under a roof without turning the space into a glasshouse.

The range is offered in three tints, each with a different balance of light and heat. Frost lets through 47% of light with 63% heat reduction, Platinum drops to 18% light with 69% heat reduction, and Gun Metal holds 16% light with 66% heat reduction. Pick the tint that matches how bright you want the space and how much shade you need.

What You Need To Complete The Job

Fix the sheet with polycarbonate roofing screws fitted with bonded washers, and lay a foam tape along the supports to stop creaking and protect the sheet. The screws and tapes are in the Polycarbonate Accessories category. The sheet is part of the Laserlite 3000 range, inside the wider Polycarbonate Roofing range.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much heat does Laserlite 3000 reduce?

Up to 50% compared with an untreated sheet, depending on the tint and the conditions. The tinted surface reflects a large share of solar radiation, which is what keeps the space below cooler on hot days.

Which tint should I choose?

Frost is the brightest at 47% light with 63% heat reduction, so it suits spaces where you want plenty of daylight. Platinum and Gun Metal drop light to around 18% and 16% with slightly higher heat reduction, which suits areas where shade matters more than brightness.

What profiles are available?

Laserlite 3000 is available in corrugated and Greca profiles. The corrugated profile has a 755mm cover width with a 17mm rib; the Greca profile has a 760mm cover width with a 16mm rib. Choose the profile that matches your existing roofline or framing.

Is the sheet UV protected?

Yes. It blocks 99.9% of harmful UV rays, protecting the sheet from yellowing and surface breakdown and shielding the space below from UV exposure.

What roof pitch does it need?

A minimum roof pitch of 5 degrees is recommended so water drains cleanly off the sheet. On lower pitches, water can pool between the ribs and accelerate surface wear.
