Overview
The Holman Storm PVC Junction 90mm 45 degree is the fitting used to bring a branch line into a 90mm stormwater pipe run. The branch joins the main line at 45 degrees, which keeps the flow moving in the direction of the run and makes the junction less likely to trap debris than a square branch.
It is made from quality recycled PVC and is used for stormwater and rainwater drainage in residential and commercial buildings. The junction is solvent welded into place and complies with AS/NZS 1254 for stormwater fittings.

Specifications
- Size: 90mm nominal
- Fitting type: junction
- Branch angle: 45 degrees
- Material: recycled PVC
- Application: stormwater
- Standard: AS/NZS 1254, AMI 70007
Applications
- Joining a branch downpipe into a 90mm stormwater main
- Connecting a secondary line into a drainage run
- Rainwater drainage systems with multiple inlets
- Above and below ground stormwater work
What You Need to Complete the Job
Cut the pipes square, dry-fit the junction, then solvent weld all three joints. Use it with the 90mm stormwater pipe and cement with Bostik Pipe Cement Type N. Where the branch needs to come in at a right angle, the 90 degree junction is the matching fitting. The full range is in the PVC Fittings range.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a 45 and 90 degree junction?
The angle of the branch. A 45 degree junction brings the branch in with the flow, which is the preferred connection for stormwater because it keeps the water moving and is less likely to trap debris. A 90 degree junction brings the branch in at a right angle, which is used where the layout demands it.
Can I use this junction for a downpipe connection?
Yes. A 45 degree junction is a common way to connect a downpipe branch into a below-ground stormwater main. The branch is solvent welded in the direction of flow so the water from the downpipe joins the main line cleanly.
Is this suitable for buried pipe runs?
Yes. The recycled PVC junction is made for above and below ground stormwater work, and the solvent weld joints give permanent watertight connections. Bed the junction on even ground in the trench so it is not point-loaded by the backfill.
What size pipe does it take?
It takes 90mm stormwater pipe on the main line and the branch. All three sockets are 90mm nominal, and the fitting is solvent welded to 90mm pipe and fittings.
