More Information

Overview

The Holman Storm PVC Elbow F&F 90mm 90 degree is a female-female elbow for 90mm stormwater pipe. It turns a pipe run through a right angle, which is the standard bend for dropping a downpipe into a below-ground stormwater line or turning a drain around a corner.

It is made from quality recycled PVC and used for stormwater and rainwater drainage in residential and commercial buildings. Both ends are female sockets that accept plain pipe ends, and the fitting is solvent welded into place. It complies with AS/NZS 1254 for stormwater fittings.

Key Features

  • 90mm female-female elbow with a 90 degree turn
  • Made from quality recycled PVC
  • Solvent weld connection for a watertight joint
  • 90 degrees to facilitate drainpipes around corners
  • Ideal for carrying wastewater and stormwater
  • Complies with AS/NZS 1254, AMI 70007

What You Need to Complete the Job

Cut the pipe ends square, dry-fit the elbow, then apply solvent cement to the sockets and pipe ends and push together with a quarter-turn twist. Use it with the 90mm stormwater pipe and a slip coupling where a run needs to be extended or repaired, and cement with Bostik Pipe Cement Type N. The full range is in the PVC Fittings range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the F&F and M&F 90 degree elbows?

Both turn a 90mm pipe run through a right angle. The F&F elbow has female sockets on both ends, so it takes two plain pipe ends. The M&F elbow has a male spigot on one end, so it can connect directly into a female socket or fitting in one piece.

Can I use a 90 degree elbow to connect a downpipe?

Yes. Two 90 degree elbows are the standard way to drop a downpipe from the gutter outlet into the below-ground stormwater line. Dry-fit both elbows first to confirm the pipe lines up, then solvent weld the joints.

Does a 90 degree bend slow the water flow?

A right-angle bend is more restrictive than a gentle 45 or 22.5 degree bend, so use a 90 only where the run genuinely needs a right angle. Where a gradual change is possible, a shallower elbow keeps the flow moving and is less likely to trap debris.

Is this fitting suitable for buried pipe?

Yes. The recycled PVC fitting is made for above and below ground stormwater work, and the solvent weld joint gives a permanent watertight connection. Support the fitting on even bedding in the trench so the joint is not point-loaded by the backfill.
