Overview

Quick Fill PE-115 is the crack repair kit in the Chemstuk range. It comes as a 1 litre pack, a kilogram of paste plus its hardener, and it is used to fix cracks and broken sections in concrete, ceramics and masonry.

The useful thing about it is that you mix it to whatever consistency the job needs. A hairline crack in a slab wants something loose enough to work in. A chipped edge or a cavity wants a stiff paste that will stay where you put it. One product covers both. Chemstuk rates it at 30 MPa, describes its adhesion as excellent and its chemical resistance as suited to factory and industrial floors, and lists it as very low VOC, which makes it easier to use indoors than a solvent heavy filler.

Where It Sits In The System

Quick Fill is not only a standalone repair product. Chemstuk’s own data sheets for Primit, Cindopox and Bettathane all name Quick Fill mortar as the material that damaged areas must be repaired with before those systems go down, and they ask installers to consult Chemstuk before substituting a different repair mortar. So if you are coating a floor that has cracks or chipped sections in it, this is the step that happens first, not an optional extra.

What You Need to Complete the Job

Clean the crack or cavity out properly and remove any loose or crumbling material, then make sure the area is dry and free of oil, dust and anything else that would stop a bond. Mix the paste and hardener to the consistency the repair needs, work it in, and level it off. For larger volume repairs, surface patching or rebuilding an edge, Quick Build CP-114 is the heavier option in the same range.
