Overview
A gloss floor coating is smooth by design, and on a ramp, a stairwell, a pool surround or an entrance that gets wet, smooth is a problem. Grip-PE 711 is the fix. It is a fine white thermoplastic polymer powder that you stir into the final coat, and it gives the cured surface texture without the harshness of a broadcast aggregate.
The dose controls the result. Chemstuk specifies 400 to 800 grams per 20 litres of coating depending on the slip rating you need, so the same product gives a light texture on a residential floor or a more pronounced grip in an industrial space. Chemstuk’s data sheet describes the improvement as taking a coating to P2 to P3.

How To Use It
Add it to the final coat only, not to the primer or the base coats, and mix it in thoroughly before you start. The thing that catches people out is settlement. The powder drops out of suspension while you work, so keep the bucket stirred as you go and back roll each section to keep the spread even, or the floor ends up gripped in patches. On a product with a short pot life, get the additive in at the start of the batch rather than partway through.
What You Need to Complete the Job
The additive goes into a coating, so the system underneath is the real decision. For a tinted epoxy floor that is Indopox E6-133, for a clear glaze over flake it is Cindopox E6-143, and for a UV stable satin topcoat it is Polyurit PU-232. Apply over clean, dry and properly prepared surfaces and follow the instructions for the base coating system. The full range is in Concrete Coatings.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do I add?
Chemstuk specifies 400 to 800 grams per 20 litres of coating, at the lower end for a light texture and the upper end where more grip is needed.
Which coatings can I use it in?
Chemstuk lists Indopox, Cindopox and Polyurit on the product page, and names the additive again in the Beton Seal data sheet as the way to improve slip resistance on that sealer.
Will it change how the floor looks?
Yes. A textured floor holds more dirt and takes more effort to mop than a smooth one. It is worth doing where someone could slip and not worth doing in a showroom.
Can I add it to the first coat?
No. It goes into the final coat. Added lower down in the system it gets buried by the coats above and does nothing.
