What You Need to Complete the Job

Clean the surface and apply two thin coats with a solvent-resistant roller sleeve. Frequently Asked Questions

How long before I can park on the newly sealed driveway?

Allow a minimum of 5 days for full cure before driving on the surface, and 24 hours before walking on it. Cooler weather, high humidity or a heavier application extends the time. Rushing this step can cause tyre marks, imprinting and premature coating failure.

Will the semi-gloss finish be slippery when it rains?

Film-forming sealers can reduce the natural slip resistance of concrete, particularly when wet. For driveways with a slope, pool surrounds and high-traffic footpaths, add the Slip Res Additive to the final coat. This keeps grip without changing the sheen of the sealer.

Can I use this over an old, weathered sealer?

Yes, if the existing sealer is sound and well adhered. Clean the surface, lightly abrade it to promote inter-coat adhesion, and test a small area first. If the old sealer is peeling, flaking or chalky, it must be stripped completely before recoating.

Is this sealer suitable around a swimming pool?

Yes, with two caveats. Add a slip-resistant additive to the final coat for safety, and rinse concentrated chemical spills promptly. The sealer shows good resistance to a 5% chlorine solution, but pool chemicals can shorten the service life, so expect more frequent resealing around pools.
