Overview
The Dulux Avista Coloured Concrete Sealer 20L is a solvent-based acrylic sealer that seals and colours exterior concrete in one product. It is pre-tinted at the factory in five popular shades, and it gives a semi-gloss finish that enriches the colour while protecting the surface against UV, water and stains.
The sealer suits coloured, stencilled, stamped and plain concrete, which makes it a common choice for driveways, patios and decorative concrete work. It is a straight roller-applied system with no primer required, and the 20 litre pail is sized for full driveways and larger outdoor areas.

What You Need to Complete the Job
Make sure the concrete is fully cured, at least 14 to 30 days old, then clean and dry the surface. Apply two thin, even coats with a lambswool roller, allowing 2 hours between coats. For a smaller project, the 10L version of the same sealer is available. Clean tools with the recommended solvent, such as AuSeal Solvent. The full range of sealers is in the Concrete Sealers range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I dilute the coloured sealer for a lighter shade?
No. The sealer is pre-tinted at the factory to a specific colour strength, and diluting it compromises both the colour and the protective properties. If you need a custom colour, use the Dulux Avista tintable base system and mix with a Dulux Avista tint instead.
How do I maintain coloured sealed concrete?
Regular sweeping and occasional hosing are usually enough. For deeper cleaning, use a pH-neutral detergent and a soft broom, and avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubbers. When water stops beading on the surface, it is time for a maintenance coat.
Is it suitable for pool surrounds?
Yes, with the addition of a slip-resistant additive to the final coat. Pool chemicals can affect the sealer over time, so rinse chemical spills promptly and expect a slightly shorter service life around pools.
What temperature range can I apply it in?
Apply between 8 and 35 degrees Celsius, and avoid direct hot sun, high winds and rain within 2 hours of application. Early morning or late afternoon application in the warmer months gives the best working conditions.
