Overview
The Dulux Avista Coloured Concrete Sealer 10L is the smaller pack of the pre-tinted Dulux Avista concrete sealer, sized for patios, paths, touch-ups and smaller driveways. It is a solvent-based acrylic sealer that colours and protects exterior concrete in one coat system, with a semi-gloss finish that enhances the surface.
It comes pre-tinted in Charcoal, Bluestone, French Grey, Shale Grey and Monument, and a tintable base is also available for mixing custom colours. The 10 litre pail covers roughly 30 to 50 square metres per coat, which suits a single patio or a small driveway.

What You Need to Complete the Job
Make sure the concrete is cured, at least 14 days old, then clean and dry the surface. Apply two thin even coats with a lambswool or long-nap roller, allowing 2 hours between coats. Clean tools with the recommended solvent such as AuSeal Solvent. For a full driveway, the 20L version covers about twice the area per coat. The full range is in the Concrete Sealers range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a 10L pail cover a standard double driveway?
A 10L pail covers roughly 30 to 60 square metres per coat depending on porosity. A standard double driveway is around 40 to 50 square metres, so one pail gives a single coat. Two coats are recommended for the best colour depth and durability, so a double driveway usually needs two pails.
Do I need a primer first?
On most clean, bare concrete, no primer is required. For previously sealed surfaces, make sure the existing sealer is sound and compatible, and test a small area first. For very porous or friable concrete, a coat of Dulux Avista pre-sealer is recommended before the coloured coat.
Will it hide cracks and imperfections?
No. The sealer provides colour but it is a thin coating, so it will not fill cracks or hide significant defects. Repair any cracks, spalls or damage with an appropriate repair product before sealing for the best finished appearance.
Is the colour consistent between pails?
Dulux Avista coloured sealers are manufactured under strict quality control for batch-to-batch consistency. For large areas that need multiple pails, mix the pails together before application to guarantee colour uniformity across the whole surface.
