Use after concrete has cured (minimum 14 days). Apply via lambswool or long-nap roller—two thin even coats deliver optimal coverage; allow 2 hours between coats, foot traffic after 24 hours, vehicle traffic after 5 days 

Recommended film build: 40–80 µm dry per coat (~250 µm wet) 

Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Consider using slip-resistant additive on wet-use areas such as pool surrounds or slopes

A 10L pail covers approximately 30–60 m² per coat, depending on surface porosity. For a standard double driveway (40–50 m²), one 10L pail should provide a single coat. Two coats are recommended for optimal colour depth and durability.

3. Do I need a primer before applying the coloured sealer?

On most clean, bare concrete surfaces, no primer is required. For previously sealed surfaces, ensure the existing sealer is sound and compatible — test a small area first. For very porous or friable concrete, a coat of Dulux Avista Pre-Sealer is recommended.

4. How long will the colour last before I need to reseal?

Expect 3–5 years in normal Australian residential conditions before a maintenance coat is needed. Darker colours exposed to full sun may show fading sooner. A fresh coat applied before the sealer fully degrades is a simple weekend job.

5. Can I apply coloured sealer over an existing clear sealer?

Yes — provided the existing sealer is sound and well-adhered. Clean the surface thoroughly and test a small area first. The coloured sealer will add colour on top of the clear coat. Note that the existing sealer must be a compatible solvent-based acrylic — coloured sealer may not bond to water-based or urethane coatings.

6. Will the coloured sealer hide cracks and imperfections?

The sealer provides colour but is a relatively thin coating — it will not fill cracks or hide significant surface defects. Repair any cracks, spalls, or damage with an appropriate Dulux Avista repair product before sealing for the best finished appearance.
