More Information

Overview

The Storm PVC Elbow M&F 90mm 15 degree is the shallowest of the 90mm stormwater elbows, with a male spigot on one end and a female socket on the other. It makes a small, precise change of direction in a pipe run, which is exactly what is needed to step a pipe over a slab edge, line up with an outlet, or follow a slight fall in the trench.

It is made from PVC-U and is part of the complete range of 90mm stormwater elbows from 15 to 90 degrees. The fitting is solvent welded into place and complies with AS/NZS 1254 for stormwater pipe and fittings.

What You Need to Complete the Job

Apply solvent cement to the socket and spigot, push the joint home with a quarter-turn twist, and allow around 24 hours before testing. Use it with the 90mm stormwater pipe and cement with Bostik Pipe Cement Type N. Combine it with the other elbow angles to build the exact run you need. More fittings are in the PVC Fittings range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I choose a 15 degree elbow?

When the pipe only needs a small change of direction. A 15 degree elbow is the gentlest bend in the 90mm range, so it keeps flow moving and is the right choice for stepping a pipe over a slab, aligning with an outlet, or following a slight fall without a noticeable bend.

Can I use two of these to make a larger angle?

Yes. Two 15 degree elbows give a 30 degree change, and you can mix the 15, 22.5, 45 and 90 degree elbows to build the exact angle the run needs. Dry-fit the combination first to confirm the alignment before cementing.

Is this fitting UV resistant for exposed work?

The PVC-U material tolerates UV exposure for extended periods, which suits above-ground stormwater work such as downpipe connections and exposed tank plumbing. For buried runs, the fitting is bedded in the trench in the usual way.

How is the joint made?

The joint is a solvent weld. Apply the cement to both the socket and the spigot, assemble quickly while the solvent is wet, and hold the joint for the initial set. Allow about 24 hours for the joint to reach full strength before testing the system.
