Overview
The Dulux Avista Waterbased Epoxy Part A Resin is the resin component of a two-part, water-based epoxy coating for internal concrete floors. Mixed with the Waterbased Epoxy Part B Hardener in a 1:1 ratio, it forms a durable, self-smoothing coating for garages, workshops, retail spaces and residential interiors.
It gives the toughness and chemical resistance of a traditional epoxy with the benefits of water-based technology: low VOC, minimal odour and easy water clean-up. The system can be tinted with the Avista Water Based Colour Tints and overcoated with the Avista Polyurethane Sealer for extra wear.

What You Need to Complete the Job
Combine equal volumes of this resin with the Waterbased Epoxy Part B Hardener and mix for 2 to 3 minutes, then apply with a squeegee and back-roll. Tint with the Water Based Colour Tint for a coloured floor. Prepare the concrete by grinding or shot blasting for the best bond. The system is in the Concrete Sealers range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to buy Part B separately?
Yes. This listing is for the Part A Resin only. You must also buy the Waterbased Epoxy Part B Hardener to create a working coating. The two parts are mixed in equal volumes immediately before use, and neither works alone.
Can I use this epoxy outdoors on my driveway?
No. The water-based epoxy is formulated for internal use only. It is not UV stable and will chalk and degrade in direct sunlight. For an exterior two-part coating, use the Dulux Avista 2 Pack Urethane or Polyaspartic Sealer, which are UV resistant.
How long before I can park on the epoxy floor?
Allow a minimum of 4 days for full cure before vehicle traffic. Light foot traffic can resume after 24 hours. The surface may feel hard sooner, but full chemical and mechanical resistance develops over several days, and cooler temperatures extend the times.
Can I tint the epoxy?
Yes. Use the Water Based Colour Tint, adding one 400ml tin per 8L mixed kit. Tinting slightly raises the VOC to about 21 g/L. The untinted product is white opaque, not clear.
