Overview
The Dulux Avista Sealer Tintable Base 19L is a solvent-based sealer that is custom-tinted with the Dulux Avista Sealer Colour Tint to create a rich, semi-gloss coloured finish on exterior decorative concrete. It offers the penetration, film hardness and UV durability of a solvent-based sealer, with the colour of your choice mixed in.
One 1L tin of colour tint colours the full 19L pail, which simplifies dosing on site. The base covers approximately 3 to 5 square metres per litre and needs no primer on most exterior concrete surfaces, making it a straightforward way to get a coloured, protected driveway or patio.

What You Need to Complete the Job

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Waterbased Tintable Sealer Base?
The solvent-based version delivers a semi-gloss finish with deeper colour enhancement and superior film hardness, which suits exterior surfaces that demand maximum durability. The water-based version gives a matt finish with lower VOCs, better for indoor use or where odour is a concern. Both can be tinted to a wide colour range.
Do I have to tint this product, or can I use it clear?
This base is designed to be tinted with the Sealer Colour Tint. If you need a clear, untinted sealer, use the General Purpose Sealer or the Extended Wear Sealer, which are ready to use straight from the pail.
How many tins of colour tint do I need for a 19L pail?
One 1L tin of Sealer Colour Tint is sufficient for a full 19L pail. Add the entire contents of the tin to the base and mix thoroughly for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not partially tint, always tint the full pail for colour consistency.
How long will the colour last in full sun?
The solvent-based formulation offers very good UV resistance, and you can expect 3 to 5 years of colour retention under normal Australian conditions before a maintenance coat is needed. Darker colours may show fading sooner than lighter tones.
