The Agreseal Concrete Sealer 20L is a solvent-based acrylic sealer made for exposed aggregate concrete. It is formulated to give a glossy wet-look finish that enriches the colour and texture of the stone, while protecting the surface against water, oils, grease and most household chemicals. It is designed for pedestrian and light vehicle use.

The sealer builds a clear, non-yellowing film that resists UV and weather, which makes it suited to Australian driveways, patios, pool surrounds and commercial exposed aggregate paving. It is a two-coat system: a diluted first coat to penetrate, then a neat second coat for the gloss and protection.

What You Need to Complete the Job

Clean the surface and let it dry before sealing. Apply the first coat at 50 percent dilution using a soft bristle broom, roller or spray, then apply the second coat neat after 1 to 2 hours. In hot weather, add around 2 litres of the recommended thinner per 20 litres to stop bubbling. How long before I can drive on the sealed surface?

Allow a minimum of 5 days for full cure before vehicle traffic. Foot traffic can typically resume after 24 hours. Cooler temperatures extend those times, so give the surface extra time in winter or in humid conditions.

Do I need to strip an old sealer before applying Agreseal?

If the existing sealer is sound and well adhered, a thorough clean and a test patch may be enough. If the old sealer is peeling, flaking or incompatible, strip it back before applying Agreseal for the best adhesion and finish.

How much does a 20L pail cover?

Coverage varies with surface porosity, typically 3 to 5 square metres per litre, giving roughly 60 to 100 square metres per 20 litre pail per coat. Two coats are recommended, so plan for around 30 to 50 square metres of finished area per pail.
