Installation

Slip the flashing over the pipe and press the square base down over the roof profile. The soft aluminium shapes to the corrugations by hand, and the EPDM sleeve seals against the pipe. Where the pipe is smaller than the sleeve, trim it to the exact diameter with scissors. Fix the base down with suitable fasteners to finish the watertight fit.

What is the difference between the black and silicone No4?

Both fit pipes from 70 to 175mm. The black EPDM version is rated to 135C and suits standard plumbing and vent pipes, while the red silicone version is rated to 260C for flues and hot vents.

Does it fit corrugated roofs?

Yes. The square aluminium base moulds down over the corrugations so the flashing follows the profile instead of bridging over it. That is what keeps the seal tight on corrugated and trim-deck sheets.

Do I need sealant as well?

No. The soft aluminium base forms the seal against the sheet, so mastic is not required. Some installers add a bead around the base edge on a very rough profile for extra insurance.

Can the sleeve be trimmed?

Yes. The EPDM sleeve is cut-to-fit, so you trim it with scissors to the exact pipe diameter before sliding it over the pipe. That gives a snug seal across the 70 to 175mm range.
