RGL Xtreme Primer 20L

RGL Xtreme Primer is a water-based acrylic roof primer developed by RGL Adhesives to provide exceptional adhesion and surface preparation across a variety of roofing substrates. It penetrates and seals porous surfaces so the topcoat bonds properly, and it is designed to work with the RGL topcoat systems. On a roof restoration, the primer is what gives the finish coats a consistent, sealed base to hold onto.

Application Guidelines

Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of contaminants such as dust, oil and loose particles, and repair any cracks or defects. Apply the primer evenly with a brush, roller or spray, and allow at least 4 hours to dry before the topcoat. Once dry, proceed with the chosen RGL topcoat for a durable finish. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours or outside 10C to 30C.

Why do I need a roof primer?

A roof surface is porous and uneven, so a topcoat applied straight onto it bonds unevenly and can fail early. The primer penetrates and seals the surface, which gives the topcoat an even base and a longer life.

What surfaces does it suit?
