More Information

White Metal Eave Vent 400 x 200mm

The white metal eave vent is a 400 x 200mm vent that sits in the eave line and lets air move in and out of the roof space. It is supplied as a twin pack, which covers two vent positions or gives you a spare for a larger roof. The metal body is weather-resistant and painted white, so it keeps a clean look on the soffit while doing the job of keeping the roof cavity aired.

Key Features

  • 400 x 200mm vent area for good air exchange at the eave
  • Twin pack for two vent positions or a larger roof
  • Weather-resistant metal construction with a white finish
  • Fits standard eave openings for straightforward installation
  • Helps reduce condensation and timber decay in the roof space
  • Low-profile design that sits flat on the eave line

Specifications

  • Vent size: 400 x 200mm
  • Pack: twin pack, 2 vents
  • Material: weather-resistant metal
  • Finish: white
  • Application: eave ventilation on tiled, metal and sheet roofs
  • Installation: fits standard eave openings

Installation

Cut the eave opening to the vent size, fit the vent into the opening and fix it in place so it sits flush with the soffit line. The twin pack gives you two vents, so position one at each end of the eave to get cross flow through the roof space. For a more even result, space the vents along the eave rather than putting them both in one corner.

Applications

  • Eave ventilation on tiled, metal and sheet roofs
  • Reducing condensation and moisture build-up in the roof cavity
  • Improving airflow in new builds and existing homes
  • Replacing blocked or missing eave vents

What You Need To Complete The Job

For a complete ventilation system, combine the eave vents with an outlet higher on the roof. Add flexible foil ducting where the vent connects to a fan or duct run, or pair it with a Proctor over fascia vent for a calculated eave intake. Browse the Roof Ventilation range for the full selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the eave vent for?

It lets air flow through the roof space at the eave, which stops condensation and heat building up under the roof. A vented roof cavity stays drier and the timber structure lasts longer.

Why is it a twin pack?

One roof usually needs more than a single vent to get proper airflow. The twin pack covers two vent positions, which is enough for a typical house, or gives you a spare for a larger roof.

Does it fit metal and tile roofs?

Yes. The vent goes in the eave or soffit line, not the roof cladding itself, so it suits tiled, metal and sheet roofs. It is made to fit standard eave openings.

Is it painted or galvanised?

It has a white painted finish over a weather-resistant metal body. The finish is chosen to keep the vent looking clean on the soffit while protecting it from the weather.

Where should I place the two vents?

Position one vent at each end of the eave line so air can cross the roof space rather than pooling in one corner. For a longer roof, space the vents along the eave for even airflow, and pair them with a high outlet so warm air has a path out.
