Overview
The SRB Storm PVC Grate D Square 150 x 150mm with stainless steel mesh is the heavy-duty version of the square surface grate. The UV-stable PVC body carries a stainless steel mesh insert, which resists corrosion and holds up under load, making it the choice for driveways, commercial paving and high-traffic inlets.
It fits 90mm or 100mm stormwater pipe via a solvent weld connection, and it complies with AS/NZS 1254 for stormwater fittings. The stainless steel mesh gives the grate a premium finish and a longer service life in wet or coastal environments.

What You Need to Complete the Job
Set the grate into the surface at the inlet point, connect the 90mm stormwater pipe below with a solvent weld, and cement with Bostik Pipe Cement Type N. Level the grate with the surrounding paving. For a lower-cost finish, the grey or white and black plastic-mesh grates are also available. More drains are in the Concrete Drains range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose the stainless steel mesh version?
The stainless steel mesh resists corrosion and handles load better than a plastic insert, which makes it the right choice for driveways, commercial paving and anywhere the grate will be driven over. It also gives a cleaner, more finished look.
What size pipe does it fit?
It fits 90mm and 100mm stormwater pipe via a solvent weld connection. Confirm your pipe size before ordering, and solvent weld the connection for a watertight joint.
Is the stainless steel mesh corrosion resistant?
Yes. Stainless steel does not rust like plain steel, so the mesh keeps its strength and appearance in wet and coastal environments. The PVC body is UV stable, so the whole grate holds up outdoors.
Can I use it on a driveway?
Yes. The stainless steel mesh version is the one to choose for driveway inlets, because it is stronger than a plastic grate and better able to cope with the load of a vehicle driving over it.
Is the stainless steel mesh removable for cleaning?
The mesh sits securely in the PVC body and is cleaned in place by sweeping or hosing. Because it is stainless steel, it stays smooth and rust-free, so debris does not build up and the grate keeps draining at full capacity.
