Overview
The SRB Storm PVC Grate D Square 150 x 150mm with plastic mesh is the standard surface inlet for stormwater systems. It is set into a paved or landscaped surface to capture rainwater run-off and carry it into a 90mm or 100mm stormwater pipe below. The plastic mesh insert filters leaves and debris while keeping the cost down.
It is made from durable ABS or PVC with a plastic mesh insert, fits with a solvent weld connection, and complies with AS/NZS 1254 for stormwater fittings. It is a robust, budget-friendly alternative to metal grates that still gives a long service life.

What You Need to Complete the Job
Set the grate into the surface at the inlet point, connect the 90mm stormwater pipe below with a solvent weld, and cement with Bostik Pipe Cement Type N. Level the grate with the surrounding paving so it sits flush. More drains and fittings are in the Concrete Drains range.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the plastic and stainless steel mesh grates?
The mesh material. The plastic mesh grate is the budget-friendly standard version, while the stainless steel mesh version is stronger and more corrosion resistant for driveways and high-traffic areas. Both fit 90mm or 100mm pipe.
Will the plastic grate rust?
No. The plastic mesh and the PVC body are rust-free, so the grate keeps working in wet and coastal environments without degrading. That is one of the advantages over a plain metal grate.
Is the grate suitable for light traffic?
Yes. The plastic grate suits patios, paths, walkways and residential driveways. For areas where vehicles regularly drive over the inlet, choose the stainless steel mesh version for the extra strength.
What size pipe does it fit?
It fits 90mm and 100mm stormwater pipe via a solvent weld connection. Confirm your pipe size before ordering, and solvent weld the connection for a watertight joint.
How durable is the plastic mesh?
The plastic mesh is made from the same UV-stable material as the grate body, so it holds up in outdoor and coastal conditions without rusting or corroding. It traps leaves and grit on the surface, where they are easy to sweep or hose away.
