Barge Capping Roof Flashing Zincalume
Zincalume barge capping finishes the gable edge of a metal roof, sealing the junction between the fascia or barge board and the roof sheeting. This is the unpainted version of our most popular barge flashing, shaped for corrugated iron (custom orb) roof sheets. It is made from 0.55mm BMT Zincalume steel, which exceeds the 0.42mm of a standard roof sheet, and it is cut to length with a +200mm / -0mm tolerance and sold per lineal metre.

Installation
Fix the capping over the sheet edge at the gable, running it from the eave to the ridge along the fascia or barge board. Fix it with roofing screws through the sheet into the barge board, and seal the top edge against the ridge capping. The profile closes the corrugations so water runs off the gable instead of into the sheet ends, and the Zincalume finish keeps the flashing corrosion resistant.
Applications
- Gable ends on corrugated iron and custom orb roofs
- Sealing the fascia to sheeting junction
- Coastal and high-moisture areas where Zincalume is preferred
- New roofs and re-roofing on metal sheet profiles

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose Zincalume over Colorbond?
Zincalume is an unpainted aluminium-zinc coated steel, so it has no paint finish to maintain and it performs well in coastal and high-moisture areas. Colorbond adds a baked-on colour that matches the roof.
How thick is the flashing?
It is 0.55mm BMT, which is heavier than the 0.42mm of a standard roof sheet. That gives the flashing extra rigidity along the gable edge.
How is it priced?
It is priced per lineal metre including GST, and cut to your required length with a tolerance of +200mm / -0mm.
Can I order a custom length?
Yes. The flashing is made to length, so order the gable run you need. Custom measurements are available if the standard profile does not suit.
Can I order for delivery or pickup?
Yes. You can order online and choose Australia-wide delivery or pickup from our Truganina trade counter in Melbourne’s west. Delivery windows depend on your postcode, and we send a confirmation once your order is ready. For any questions call (03) 93941400 or email orders@singhroofingsupplies.com.au.
