Frequently Asked Questions
1. What makes Nutech Pavecoat different from standard concrete sealers?
Nutech Pavecoat is a premium penetrating acrylic sealer specifically formulated for concrete and clay pavers. It provides excellent colour enhancement, UV protection, and resistance to efflorescence — the white salt deposits common on paved surfaces.
2. Can Pavecoat be tinted?
Yes — Nutech Pavecoat can be tinted in a wide range of colours. A colour card is available in-store. Tinting is done at the point of sale for accurate, consistent colour.
3. Is Pavecoat suitable for driveways?
Yes — Pavecoat is formulated for exterior paver and concrete surfaces including driveways, providing good UV resistance and durability under vehicle traffic.
4. What finish does Pavecoat provide?
Pavecoat is available in gloss, high gloss, and matt finishes (matt available on request). The gloss finish provides a wet-look sheen; matt provides a natural, low-sheen appearance.
5. How often should I reseal with Pavecoat?
Under normal conditions, Pavecoat provides 2–4 years of protection. Reseal when water stops beading on the surface or the colour appears faded. A maintenance coat is quick and cost-effective.
6. Can I apply Pavecoat over an existing different brand of sealer?
Yes, provided the existing sealer is sound and compatible. Clean the surface thoroughly and test a small area first. If the old sealer is failing, strip it before applying Pavecoat.
7. Does Pavecoat resist oil stains?
Pavecoat provides resistance to oil and fuel staining, but spills should be cleaned promptly for best results. No sealer is completely impervious to aggressive chemicals.
