Sunglaze Clear Polycarbonate Roofing Sheet
The Sunglaze Clear is the brightest panel in the Sunglaze standing seam range, passing up to 90% of daylight through a 4mm solid polycarbonate sheet. It is the closest thing to a glass roof in the range and is a natural fit for pergolas, glass houses, pool areas and any space where you want the roof to disappear and the sky to come through. Sheets are sold per metre and cut to length from 1.0m to 9.0m, with delivery Australia-wide or collection from our Truganina trade counter.
Clear polycarbonate at 90% light transfer is noticeably different from a tinted panel. The space underneath is bright and the daylight is truer, which matters if you are growing plants, heating a pool naturally, or simply want a veranda that feels open. The trade is that a clear sheet lets in more solar heat, so it suits positions where shade from the building or surrounding trees is available, or where you want maximum light and are comfortable managing the heat.
The Sunglaze clamp system keeps the top surface free of screws. Panels lock into concealed aluminium joiners and the rafter channel, giving a clean, continuous glass like plane with no exposed fastener heads. The twin surface UV2 coating blocks 99.99% of UV radiation, so the sheet resists yellowing and surface breakdown over years of Australian sun.

What You Need To Complete The Job
A Sunglaze roof is installed as a complete system. Along with this clear sheet you need the Sunglaze 100mm aluminium rafter for support, the aluminium base, cap and cover joiners for the joints, and Sunglaze infill foam to close the eave line. All matching parts are in the Sunglaze category, with the complete range under Polycarbonate Roofing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much light does the clear sheet let through?
Up to 90% of visible daylight passes through the sheet. That makes it the brightest option in the Sunglaze range and close to a glass roof in feel. It is a good fit for glass houses, pool areas and covered spaces where you want maximum natural light.
Will a clear sheet heat the space underneath?
More than a tinted panel will. A clear sheet lets in more solar radiation, so the space below can get warm in full sun. If heat is a concern, consider a tinted Sunglaze panel or add shade from nearby trees, awnings or a solar control film. For most patios the brightness is worth the trade.
What slope does a Sunglaze roof need?
The system suits rafter or purlin construction, flat or curved, with a recommended minimum roof slope of 5 degrees. For lower slopes, the rafter design is recommended for clean drainage across wide panels.
Does the clear sheet stay clear over time?
The twin surface UV2 coating blocks 99.99% of UV radiation, which is the main cause of yellowing and surface breakdown in polycarbonate. With that protection the panel holds its clarity and resists weathering far longer than an uncoated sheet.
How is the sheet cut and priced?
The sheet is priced per metre and cut to length from 1.0m up to 9.0m. Choose the length from the variations on this page. For runs beyond 9.0m, contact the store to discuss supply.
