How To Apply It

Clean the surface, dry it and peel back the liner. Press the tape down along the joint and smooth it firmly so the butyl bonds across the full width. The tape moulds around corners and penetrations without splitting, and it can be cut with scissors or a knife to length. For a permanent fix, press the edges down hard and lap any joins by at least 25mm.

Is this tape a permanent fix or a temporary repair?

It works for both. Pressed down on a clean, dry surface it forms a permanent weatherproof seal, and it is also quick enough to use for a temporary repair that gets replaced later.

Does it need special tools?

No. Cut it with scissors or a knife and press it down by hand. The butyl backing does the bonding, so there is no heat, mastic or applicator to manage.

Can I paint over it?

Yes. The aluminium surface can be painted so the repair blends with the roof or cladding, which is useful where the tape is on a visible line.

What sizes come in the handy pack?

The handy packs are 3m rolls in 50mm and 75mm widths. The 10m stock rolls come in 50, 75, 100, 150, 200 and 300mm widths for larger jobs.
