It is a general-purpose waterproof flashing for internal and external work, particularly under doors and windows, along deck bearers and with roof cladding systems. The annealed aluminium is malleable and lightweight, so it shapes by hand around profiles and mitred corners with basic tools, and it is impervious to moisture and resistant to cracking and corrosion.

Cut the flashing with tin snips and fold it to create tight corners or step flashings. Overlap adjoining pieces by at least 50mm for a continuous weather seal, and fix with corrosion-resistant screws or rivets. Seal the penetrations with a neutral-cure silicone. For wide flashings, centre-fix and allow a little movement so the aluminium can accommodate thermal expansion.
