More Information

Proctor Over Fascia Vent FV25

The Proctor over fascia vent FV25 is a 25mm x 1000mm eave vent that draws air into the roof space between the sarking and the fascia board. It is the higher capacity option in the over fascia range, delivering 25,000mm² of positive airflow per linear metre, which suits roofs that need a bigger air intake than the 10mm FV10 provides. The reduced height profile keeps the vent discreet on the fascia and often removes the need to pack out the roof sheets to fit it.

Key Features

  • 25,000mm² positive airflow per linear metre, 1/150 ratio
  • 1000mm length for a continuous eave run
  • Reduced height profile, no need to pack out roof sheets
  • Increased rigidity and flutes for easier fixing
  • 4mm openings block large insects and stop capillary action
  • Compatible with timber and metal fascias

Specifications

  • Product: Proctor over fascia vent FV25
  • Size: 25mm x 1000mm
  • Airflow: 25,000mm² per linear metre, 1/150
  • Design: traditional roofs with pitch under 22 degrees, cathedral roofs of any pitch
  • Openings: 4mm spaced slots
  • Finish: reduced height, lower profile

Installation

The FV25 slides in between the fascia and the cladding at the eave line. The flutes on the body give you a clean line to position the fixings, and the lower profile means the vent sits close to the fascia without standing proud of the roof line. On many roofs this removes the need to pack the sheets up to clear a taller vent, which saves time on the install.

Applications

  • Eave ventilation on lower pitch roofs under 22 degrees
  • Cathedral roofs of any degree pitch
  • New builds and re-roofing where a higher airflow is needed
  • Roofs where a low, discreet fascia vent is wanted

What You Need To Complete The Job

The FV25 needs a matching outlet at the ridge. Pair it with a Proctor ridge vent RV10, and use the Proctor FV10 on steeper roof pitches over 16 degrees. Browse the Roof Ventilation range for the complete passive system.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much air does the FV25 move?

It delivers 25,000mm² of positive airflow per linear metre, which is a 1/150 ventilation ratio. That is two and a half times the airflow of the FV10, so it suits roofs that need a bigger intake at the eave.

Which roof pitches does it suit?

The FV25 is designed for traditional roofs with a pitch under 22 degrees and for cathedral roofs of any pitch. Steeper roofs over 16 degrees are better served by the FV10.

Do I need to pack out the roof sheets?

Usually not. The FV25 has a reduced height profile, which is low enough that it often fits without packing out the roof sheets to clear the vent. That is one of the main reasons it saves time on site.

Is there a bushfire-rated version?

Yes. The FV25 BAL is the same vent with BAL mesh pre-fitted for ember protection. Use it where the build is in a bushfire-prone area.

Why is the FV25 recommended for cathedral roofs?

Cathedral roofs follow the ceiling line, which leaves a tight cavity above the insulation that needs a larger air intake than a steeper roof. The FV25’s 25,000mm² airflow per linear metre supplies that volume through a low-profile vent that fits the restricted eave space without a bulky protrusion.
