Byute Flash 200mm x 10m
Byute Flash is a self-adhesive flashing tape with a silver aluminium foil face over a high-build butyl rubber adhesive. This 200mm x 10m roll is the wide mid-size option, suited to roof and gutter repairs, skylight joints and pipe penetrations where a 100mm strip would not cover the joint. It bonds to metal, PVC, concrete, brick, glass, timber and fibre cement, and the aluminium surface resists UV and can be painted to match.

How To Apply It
Clean and dry the surface, peel back the liner and press the tape down, smoothing it firmly so the butyl bonds across the full width. The flexible body conforms to complex shapes and resists tearing as you dress it around corners and penetrations. Lap any joins by at least 25mm and press the overlaps flat for a continuous seal. It is a cold-applied tape, so there is no heat gun or primer involved.
Applications
- Roof and gutter repairs
- Sealing skylight joints and pipe penetrations
- Waterproofing downpipes, water tanks and caravan seams
- General flashing and patch repairs on roofing and cladding

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 200mm width best for?
It is the wide mid-size roll, best for roof and gutter repairs, skylight joints and pipe penetrations where a 100mm strip is too narrow to cover the seam in one piece.
How strong is the bond?
The high-build butyl adhesive forms a permanent bond to clean, dry surfaces. The tape is designed for both temporary repairs and permanent installations, and it stays flexible so the bond holds under roof movement.
Does it resist tearing?
Yes. The aluminium foil and butyl construction resist tearing and punctures while staying flexible enough to conform to complex shapes. That combination is what makes it a durable repair tape.
Can I use it on a water tank?
Yes. It is a common repair for water tanks and downpipes, sealing seams and small holes against leaks. Clean the area, dry it and press the tape over the damaged section.
Can I order for delivery or pickup?
Yes. You can order online and choose Australia-wide delivery or pickup from our Truganina trade counter in Melbourne’s west.
