Frequently Asked Questions

What is the load rating of this ladder?

The Bailey Trade Lyte 3 step is rated to 150kg at industrial duty, which covers the weight of an average person plus tools and materials on the job. That makes it a solid choice for trade and commercial work where a rated stepladder you can rely on day to day is required. Always confirm the total working load before use and follow the manufacturer instructions for safe setup.

How tall is this ladder?

The ladder height is 0.9m, with a reach of about 2.3m. It is the most compact ladder in the Trade Lyte range, which makes it a practical everyday access ladder for a warehouse, store or workshop.

What are the side arms for?

The side arms on the 3 step and 4 step Trade Lyte models give you a handhold at the working height, which adds stability and support while you work. The larger 6 step and 8 step models use an internal spreader arm system instead.

Is this ladder safe to use near electricity?

No. This is an aluminium ladder, and aluminium conducts electricity, so it is not for use near live electrical hazards. For electrical work, choose a fibreglass stepladder, which is electro-safe and non-conductive.
