Bostik Roof and Gutter is a premium one component, mid flex, neutral curing 100% silicone that provides excellent adhesion to many common substrates. The translucent version, like the grey, is suitable for drinking water as per Australian standards AS/NZS 4020 and meets ATS 5200.014:2004. It is built for metal roofing systems, water tanks, spouting, flashing, downpipes and lap joints in Zincalume, Colorbond and other decorative sheet metal.

Is it safe for a drinking water tank?

Yes. The translucent and grey versions are suitable for drinking water as per AS/NZS 4020 and meet ATS 5200.014:2004, so they are safe for metal water tanks feeding a house.

Why translucent instead of grey?

Translucent gives a lower-visibility seal on light or metallic surfaces, while grey gives a defined line. Both carry the same drinking water suitability.
