Aluminium Sunglaze Cap

The Aluminium Sunglaze Cap is the middle piece of the Sunglaze three-part joiner. It sits over the panel edges once the sheets are in the base track, locks down onto the base, and holds the whole joint together. In the standing seam system the cap is what makes the joint watertight, because it compresses the gasket against the panel edge and closes the seam from above.

The cap is an aluminium profile supplied cut to length from 1.0m to 7.0m. It is fixed to the base with the Sunglaze SD hex screws, which are driven into the cap profile and hold it down against the base. Once the cap is locked in place, the aluminium cover clips over it to hide the screw heads and give the roof its clean, continuous top surface.
