About the EERA Rolltop Corrugated Notcher
The EERA Rolltop Corrugated Notcher notches flashings so they sit down over Rolltop corrugated roofing. It is a manual lever tool with a curved blade head shaped to the corrugation, and each cut takes out a span of 2.5 ribs. Like the rest of the EERA range, it is designed and manufactured in Warrnambool, Victoria.
This is a separate tool from the EERA Corrugated Notcher. The Rolltop version is built for the Rolltop sheet, which has an anti scratch lip. EERA is upfront that it takes a little more patience to use: try your first cut on a piece of scrap Rolltop to get the feel of it, and expect that minor defects can happen because of that lip.

Rolltop or Standard Corrugated?
EERA makes two corrugated notchers, and choosing the right one comes down to the sheet on the roof. If the sheet is Rolltop corrugated, this is the tool. If it is standard corrugated, such as Custom Orb, use the EERA Corrugated Notcher instead. Both tools are heavier than the trapezoidal notchers in the range, at 8kg each.
What You Need to Complete the Job
Flashings for a corrugated roof are usually folded from flat sheet or bought ready made, and our custom flashing range covers the common shapes. Snips for trimming and gloves for handling cut steel finish the kit, and the full EERA line sits in our Metal Roofing Tools range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does EERA suggest a test cut on scrap first?
Rolltop sheet has an anti scratch lip, and that makes it less forgiving than standard corrugated. EERA advises a first cut on scrap Rolltop so you learn how the tool sits before working on a finished flashing. Minor defects can still occur because of the lip, so allow a little extra material on your first job.
Will this tool notch standard corrugated flashings?
Buy the tool that matches your sheet. EERA sells a dedicated Corrugated Notcher for standard corrugated and Custom Orb, and points standard corrugated buyers to it from the Rolltop page. Blades are not interchangeable between EERA notchers, so one tool is set up for one profile. If you are unsure which sheet you have, call us on (03) 9394 1400 before ordering.
How thick a flashing can it cut?
The Rolltop notcher cuts galvanised or prepainted steel up to 1mm thick, with a cutting tolerance of plus or minus 0.5mm. It is a manual lever tool, so it needs no power on the roof. It is not designed for cutting hips.
Can I get replacement blades for the Rolltop notcher?
Yes, by enquiry. EERA lists the blades as high strength hardened steel, both replaceable and sharpenable, but Rolltop blade sets are not sold online. Call us on (03) 9394 1400 with the product code ROL004 and we will check supply and price with EERA. Quote the code, because blades are not interchangeable between EERA notchers.
