Bailey Pro Extreme Industry PFS2 Aluminium Platform Step Ladder 170kg
The Bailey FS13938 Pro Extreme Industry PFS2 is a two step aluminium platform stepladder with a working platform at 0.6m. It is the smallest model in the Extreme Industry PFS range and it is built for trade and commercial work where a stable standing area matters more than height. Rather than balancing on a tread, you stand on a 400 x 485mm platform with a squared aluminium handrail in front of you, which is a safer and more comfortable position for work that takes time. The frame uses the Punchlock rung to stile joint, so the treads stay locked to the stiles and the ladder resists twisting under load. It is rated to 170kg for industrial duty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the load rating of this platform ladder?
The FS13938 PFS2 is rated to 170kg with an industrial duty classification, which covers a person plus tools and materials for trade and commercial use. Always confirm the total working load before use and follow the manufacturer instructions for assembly and safe setup.
How high is the platform?
The platform sits at 0.6m, the lowest position in the Extreme Industry PFS range. It gives you a stable, guarded place to stand for low level work without the reach a taller ladder brings.
Why choose a platform ladder instead of a step ladder?
A platform ladder gives you a flat standing area with a handrail rather than a single tread to balance on, so you can turn, work and hold a tool with both hands. Where a job takes more than a minute or two, that is a real difference in safety and comfort over a step ladder of the same height.
Is this ladder safe to use near electricity?
No. This is an aluminium ladder, and aluminium conducts electricity, so it is not for use near live electrical hazards. For work near live wiring, choose a fibreglass ladder, which is electro-safe and non-conductive.
