About the EERA R Panel Notcher

The EERA R Panel Notcher is a trim cutter for R Panel, PBR panel, trapezoidal panel and M-U panel, the last with a 0.75 trim break as EERA specifies. It cuts a wide rib notch, 28mm high, 82mm across the base and 25mm across the top, so the trim drops down over each panel rib. EERA designs and manufactures it in Warrnambool, Victoria.

Also known as a trim puncher, the tool has a head shaped to the R Panel rib that locates itself on the profile. You fold the trim, set the folded edge in the tool and pull the lever. There is no marking out, and each notch matches the last.

At 82mm across the base, the R Panel notch is the widest of the trapezoidal notches in the EERA range we list. Cutting that by hand on every rib is slow, and the tool makes each one the same.

Folding and Availability

EERA recommends folding the flashing or trim to 90 degrees on a sheet metal folder, 28mm long, to match the rib. Fold the full length first, then notch rib by rib along the trim.
