The Velux VSS solar-powered opening skylight is operated by a wall-mounted remote keypad and includes a rain sensor that automatically closes the skylight when precipitation is detected. It features a concealed battery pack that is recharged by a solar panel, allowing for operation day or night without requiring an electrician or additional power source.
